I had an abnormal PAPPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer this time...I've never had an abnormal result. What in the world could this mean???? When I was at my doc's, (not to get too graphic) but, she said everything looks nice and healthy. I am really scared to go to another doctor to get more results.
Other's may have better opinions, but I've had a couple of "abnormal" papsPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer. I don't think that it is that unusual for a womanWomen's way to have one come back abnormal. Your doc will investigate further, but until you know, don't worry. Lots of us have been there, and everything was fine with me.
i had an "abnormal" papPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer a few years ago, and my doctor said he wasn't too worried and recommended repeating it the next month. everything was fine. the important thing is to be pro-active and stay on top of the situation. and try not to worry. i know - easier said than done. :)
I had an abnormal papPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer years ago, and it was from the HPV virus. I had pre-cancerous cells on my cervix that had to be frozenFrozen shoulder off. The doc told me that HPV is very common, and can cause these cells to form. I was also told that if you're just ending your cycle when you get your pap, it can skew the results as well. Did your doc ask you to come back in 6 months for another pap?
When I went to my doctor a couple of weeks ago, she does internal medicine...basic pap's, etc...She recommended I go to a gynocologist. It was a day after I ended my period, so I might go get another one maybe next month. That probably had a lot to do with it. Thanks for all the comments!
I had an abnormal pap not to long ago.I was freaked out(cervical cancer runs in my fam.)I had to go in & get retested. But bf I went in she told me all the poss. & read from a list. She asked me if I had ,had sex 2 days prior to exam?I said yes,not knowing that your not suppossed to.Well needless to say 2nd test came out o.k.The sperm is foreign in a vagina so pap comes out abnormal. That was a relief so know I know.Hope your fine.nanis
I have had several abnormal paps. My first was about 5 years ago and i had to have another, which was abnormal so i had to have a biopsy then cryosurgery (the freezing of the cells). After that I had to have another pap in 3 months and it was fine. My pap last month came back abnormal again so they set me up for another in 6 months. It is nothing, try not to worry.
I am a 47 year old female who had a hysterectomy. Removed Right ovary and uterus. Dr kept my cervix. He said that he did not remove cervix because it may bring me to pre-menopause. Is that correct. I also had an abnormal pap. Pap indicates that I have Low Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion (LSIL). not sure what all that means. I am scheduling a colnscopy next week. Could someone shed some light on this for me. It is all so new to me and scary. I had a colnscopy done a year ago and was tested negative.
