Abnormal Pap after Hysterectomy

by cmf, Jun 14, 2007 12:00AM
Has anyone had an abnormal pap (abnormal cell growth)  after Hysterectomy?  Dr. Appt isn't for another 3 weeks, would like to know of other experiences.

Yes, I did.  It was LGSIL which is caused by high risk HPV.  They did a colposcopy but didn't see anything to biopsy so didn't do anything.  Right now we are on a "wait and see" because it could revert to normal.

Of course, don't know if that's what you'll have.  It could just be an regular yeast infection not HPV.  Even so, whatever it is, you'll get it treated and everything will be ok.
