I'm 18 and was diagnosed with HPV when I was 16. I had it for about 5 months and had legions for cervical cancer. I had a leep done which is burning off the legions. After that I've been free. Even though there is no cure, as long as your pap smear comes up normal you most likely can't pass it.

HPV is human papillomavirus virus. it is a very common sexually transmitted disease that has about 100 different types or strains. Some HPV strains can cause genital warts while and others, if persistent, may lead to cervical cancer. While there is currently no cure for HPV but luckily the virus usually goes away or is suppressed by the body to a low level without causing any problems.

things dont really change at all... u just have to keep going in for regular pap smears to make sure nothing has changed! good luck
