Acidophilus for Yeast Infection?

by jamiejackcorn, Apr 22, 2008 06:09PM
I had/have a yeast infection that wouldn't go away with OTC suppositories, creams, ovules, nothing! I took 'Nature Made' Acidophilus (500 million live cells twice daily). I was also taking AZO YEAST tablets.. All of my symptoms are gone!  I have recurrent vaginal yeast infections. OTC meds have never worked for me.. and the prescription tablets work.. but it all comes back within time.

Do Acidophilus tablets really cure yeast infections or does it just mask the symptoms? Is it safe?

Thanks for your time
