Adenomyosis

Had a question for you, I know these postings are old but hoping someone can help me. Iv had two miscarriages, on this second one they noticed I had two cysts in my uterine wall, suggesting adenomyosis. Iv always had normal periods with minor pains.  After my miscarriage the ultrasound no longer showed the cysts. I'm 25, do u think it's possible I have adenomyosis? Thanks!

Thanks! I am getting a hysterosonogram tomorrow, hopefully that will help in a diagnosis!

Hello,
In adenomyosis, endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, is present within and grows into the muscular walls of the uterus. The symptoms of adenomyosis include heavy bleeding, cramping or sharp, knife-like pelvic pain during menstruation, cramps that last throughout your period and worsen as you get older, pain during intercourse, bleeding between periods and passing blood clots during periods.

To rule it out, you may get ultrasound or MRI done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
