Ok so nobody laugh. Ive always had the bad habit of going back and checking my hpt several hours later. I know I'm not supposed to, but I cant help it. I always hope that I will see something I didnt before I guess. Well this time I actually did. I took the test and it showed a neg like right away so i didnt wait the full 5 min and just set it down. Well I just went to the bathroom and glanced at it and there was a definite second line there! But its been a couple hours.... Has this ever happened to anyone and they actually were preggers? I plan on taking another one agian in the morning, but I was curious.
I also know that certain brands can show an evaporation line, but Ive always used the same brand of hpt and its never showed a second line even days later. So just being hopeful, lol! I didnt wait the whole five ten minutes either, so it could have shown up in the time period.
you can not check it after the waiting time is done...and yes a couple of hrs later is that...what your seeing is an evaporation line. yes you could be pregnnat but too early to tell on an hpt...but that negative (even when your pregnant) is not magically going to read a few hrs later that your pregnant.
The test are not accurate till around the time of your missed period. Some tests say they are accurate at 10 days post ovulation but you can still get false negatives testing that early.
and dnt worry hun i do the same! but ive never seen what i wanted to see, it could be that your pregnant or it could just be an evaporation line and more times that not its the latter
how late are you on your period?

good luck tho and i hope you get your bfp soon :)
So to correct myself. It is possible that you are pregnant. It could be an evaporation line but that's probably unlikely.
I had a similar thing happen to me. It may be that it's just taken longer for the reaction to occur. I'd probably try a different brand of test and see whether you have the same result.
Are you late for your period yet?
