It is ideal to start BD a few days before ovulation so that the sperm is there when the egg is released. Have you been checking with OPK's? Not everyone ovulated on the 14th day that's why I ask. If you are ovulating, I would still have sex today and tomorrow. Good Luck and sorry the previous poster was SO rude.

I'm sure she meant pillows under her butt.

Aside from that, do you know that you ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, or is that from what you've learned to be "normal" time for ovulation? Because every woman is different, not everyone has a 28-day cycle with ovulation occuring on day 14. If you ovulate on day 12 and wait until day 14 to try, you've missed your chance.

You should have sex each day for the four or five days before ovulation and the day of, unless your hubby has a low sperm count, then you should try every other day to give them a chance to build back up in numbers.

I highly recommend reading "Taking Charge of your Fertility", you will learn alot about how your body works and how to maximize your chances of conception.

for better chances, next time have sex before you ovulate. your best chances are if there's already sperm in there to meet the egg when it's released.
