Hey everyone!! (Hope you are all well!) I am currently on Alesse 28. Its the 1st bcp I've ever been on. I am almost running out and I will be going to do the DR soon. My dr gave a refill for Alesse again. I went to the pharmacy and they told me they no longer carry it. Just generic. I dont know how this generic brand will impact me. My body is used to Alesse. So far I have not have any "physical" problems with Alesse. Just the normalNormal saline flush breast tenderness, cramps, slight headaches, and such.
My question is; is there any good BCP that anyone recommends so I can ask my dr to see if its good enough for me? This would really help since I am down to my placebo wk and 4 pink pills.
make sure you research any and all kinds...there is one brand that is getting sued...i really cant remember the name of it, but i see the commercial for the lawyers all the time...something about causing strokes or heart attacks..i know ALL the BCP have that as a possible side effect, but ive never heard of any of them going to court
ive heard bad things about the patch also...so you just have to be careful and talk to you doctor...
I've been on Yasmin for about a year and a half now. I've never had a problem with it or even any side effects. Maybe you could ask your doctor about that one...
I was on the NuvaRing for over a year. It is a ring that is inserted into the vagina, and then you leave it there for 21 days. it was amazing, because you could just insert it and then basically forget about it until it's time to be removed. Also, it has lower hormone levels than normal birth control pills. I would definitely reccomend it.
I've been using Triphasil and like it a lot. I've had to use the generic form when the company couldn't keep up with production, and I was nervous about it, but I haven't noticed any difference with the generic form.
I use Yasmin, it made me feel sick and I threw up once while my body was getting used to it, but now it works awesome and I have no issues. Best of luck!
I was on seasonale a while, worked well with no noticeable side affects, but they are expensive if you don't have insurance of some type. Great part was i only had a period every 3 months.
