Any Of you??

I just got back from My OBGYN and i have a cyst on my right overie which i was told is common and im getting a pelvic ultra sound tomorrow have any of you had a cyst before and what was your experience with it??

If you go to the 'Ovarian Cancer' forum (the non-moderated one)there are loads of people who have experience of all sorts of ovarian cysts.

And don't forget!!!!99% of ovarian cysts are benign!

Yes, they are common.  I had one and they put me on bc pills to make it go away.  It did.  Sometimes they can give you medicine to disolve it.  If really large, they may have to remove it surgically.  Hopefully yours is just a common one that will go away with treatment.

Don't worry they are very common.  I have them on both my overies.  I've had a 7 by 7 inch cyst removed out of my right overy.  VERY painful surgery.  Just be careful which birth control pills you take if you do take any.  Cause with a cyst your hormones can get all mixed up.
Don't worry there is a lot of people that go threw it.

Can you tell me more about your surgery I found out I have a 5x7 inch cyst and decided to wait a month to see if it goes down.  What can you tell me about recovery... the scar etc.. Also what was your cyst made of ?   My doctor told me he wouldn't know until it was removed.  Do you wish you would have waited to see if it would go down?
