I believe in the charting method as well which includes tracking your bbt like nickie said. Its far more accurate than an opk. To be honest I have only see alot of confusion with opks.
anyways you can start tracking your ovulation on here, just add the ovulation ticker to your profile. I recommend reading the book taking charge of your fertility as well. There is an huge misconception that women ovulate on day 14....that thought is based on a 28 day cycle which alot of women dont have, me included. I had a 31 day cylce for 3 years before having my dd.  if you know the day you ovulate its recommended you start having sex a few days before up to 5 days so if you really do ovulate on day 14 start on day 9. (there is a chance sperm can live up to 5 days in the female body) and continue until a few days after.
most women get eggwhite quality cervical mucus the day they ovulate or the days leading up to it, this is actually to aid the sperm in travel! lol anyways if you notice that at all, its go time! i know myself i often cramp at Ovulation time as well.

good luck and keep us posted! come join the trying to concieve group or check out the pregnancy 18-34 forum, lots of good info and help there.

baby dust to you!!!

Hi hun. I don't know how you are tracking your ovulation but have you tried tracking your Basal Body Temperature? This is done with a special theo. that you can buy at any drug store and it gives you your temp within a .10th of a degree. You do this starting on the first day of your period (cd1) and continue throughout your cycle until... when you see a rise in your temp of .4-.8 then this usually means that you have ovulated. If these temps stay above the coverline (the last highest temp before you ovulated) for 18 days or longer it is a pretty good chance that you are pregnant. I also agree with ladyblue too the ovulation prediction kits and fertility monitor are also extra help. If you have been trying for over a year and haven't conceived usually warrants a visit to your OBGYN and then they should refer you to a fertility doctor (RE) just to have preliminary tests done to make sure your hormones and your hubby's sperm count is within normal levels. Best of luck on the baby making!

It is good that you started to track your ovulation as this is very important. I also can recommend the ovulation prediction kid or a fertility monitor as they are less confusing then the calender method and more accurate.
Also the chances of getting pregnant is higher before the ovulation and not after!
Reduce or completely eliminate alcohol use cigarette smoking or other drug use!
Well of course have sex at least 3 times a week.
The good old fashion missionary position is the best for you to conceive as the sperm stays inside of you longer ...you can also stay lying on your back with your legs elevated after intercourse to ensure there is not premature "loosing" the sperm .
And last but not least...enjoy your time trying to get pregnant, enjoy your time with your partner and not just do it do conceive....usually when one does not try so hard that is when it works out!!! hope this helps you a little bit.
Good luck
