Anybody try Curves?

by nalla, Feb 13, 2007 12:00AM
I was just wondering if anybody out there has tried the gym Curves for women. I was thinking about joining and was wondering what your experiances were. Did you get the results that you wanted? What does the membership cost?

hey there i went to a place called inches away and they wanted like $1500 for a year i told them they were crazy and left but i think that Curves is a little less expensive but the only bad thing about them is that you have to scedule and appointment to come in and work out where a gym is open all day and walk ins are welcome. Are you just needing to work out or needing to diet to if you need a diet plan try e-diets it is amazing i have been on iut for about 3 weeks and i have lost 20 lbs. (but i have alot to lose)

Curves is GREAT!! It is really cheap, and in CT you don't need to schedule an appointment, i don't know where the woman who posted above me is from, but it is awesome you get a great workout in a comfortable setting with all women! GO FOR IT! I highly reccomend it!

Hi, I am new to this forum, and came upon your post.  I am a member of Curves, and I LOVE it!  It takes about 30 minutes to do the whole "circuit".  Are you familiar with how Curves works?  You do a resistant machine for 30 seconds and then you run/walk in place for 30 seconds.  I have definaltely seen results.  The first month that I was there, I lost 7 pounds and 5.5 inches.  I also do the Weight Watchers diet, so that helps.  I think the cost depens on where you live.  Most of the Curves gyms have a 1 week trial pass to see if it is for you.  If you decide to check it out, let me know what you think.  Kasie

Glad to hear some of you are happy with it. I liked the idea of it being just women. I think I will give it a try! Thanks!

johnasse- No, I have never heard of that place. I don't live in a big city so there are not many options to choose from. :(
