Hi i'm 21& I have been taking just a gereral muti vitamin for women a-z for the past 2 weeks and other than all the bad symt. from my period I have had more energy and just feel better in general. Also I have been quite a bit more happy. But only if I take it everyday!

Good Luck!
Also drink LOTS of water,I personally don't drink nearly enough(I am working on this) but I find that it makes me feel better in several ways like the vitamins but my skin is softer, tighter, clearer and glowing.

Well it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish specifically... greens are great, but the best over-all health supplement for general wellness I have found is called Moducare. Obviously multi-vitamins are good too, but this is a great supplement. I can tell the difference in my energy level when I stop taking it.

Sure!
Moducare is one of a myriad of options you have in supplements that contain plant sterolins.

As a preface, I employ herbal medicine most of the time because it treats the underlying CAUSE of a problem, not treating the symptoms like manufactured medication frequently does.

So, having said that, Moducare or any sterolin-based supplement, works to balance your immune system, to ensure your body is working at its optimum. It's not a nutritional supplement (you still need your multi-vitamin) this is simply a supplement that will help you to feel your very best. Sometimes our immune system, like a thyroid, works too hard or not hard enough - this supplement ensure that your immune system is working properly. And as a result, you feel good, and your body is working as efficiently as possible.

Do you have any thoughts on Brevail?  I started taking that for preventative breast health and premenopausal symptoms.  It contains plant lignans.  Do you know if Moducare is something specific to Canada?  I frequent a few health stores on a regular basis and have never seen it.

While I have not personally taken Brevail, I like the approach. If I recall correctly, its meant to regulate how estrogen affects cells, specifically breast tissue. I haven't done any research on this specific supplement but I would be curious to know if there are any long-term studies (ie 20 years +)to demonstrate that the incidence of breast cancer was lower in women taking Brevail, versus those who did not.

All in all, I would say it wouldn't harm you - but I am not really familiar enough to give an opinion.

One other thing I would say - and the same with Moducare (and perhaps it's only avail in Canada) you can often get similar results with something that hasn't been packaged with a pretty bow. Don't worry about the brand name of Moducare - find something that contains plant sterolins. And with the Brevail, you can find herbs that serve to balance female hormones and in theory, should produce similar results (for MUCH cheaper, no doubt). I push chasteberry on here a lot - this is a miracle herb for women with any sort of hormonal/menstrual issue.

Anyway - I am prattling now and need to sign off!
