Appendicitis??

I am having sharp abdominal pain to the right of my bellybutton.  3 days now. It is worse when I breathe hard, laugh, or bring my right knee towards my belly.  I also have some pain pain in my back, opposite the pain on the front.  My last menses was on March 23rd and lasted for 4 days.  I take BP meds (labatelol) for moderately high BP, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and was prescribed Victoza for that about 5 months ago. I take a prenatal vitamin every day. I am afraid I have appendicitis.

I am experiencing exactly what you described now today would be the 4th day... everyone saying I should be at the ER but I am terrified of hospitals. My pain constant in my back on the sides like the flank area and that's a constant dull ache it radiates to my abdominal but there's a sharp pain that goes straight through to the back Right side of abdomen two inches from my naval ...it's nonstop the pain intesified so badly that my head throbbed and I got very nauseous and vomited brown bile in and off for hours. I'm not vomiting now but the pain is so bad and it even hurts to breathe in or cough or move...is this appendicitis or something serious..?? It didn't start around my naval it started in my sides/flank area and more intesified right side of abdominal area...any advice would be appreciated

When you have pain like that, you have to get to the ER.  Are you more terrified of a burst appendix than a hospital?  You probably should be because one is there to help you and the other can have serious consequences.  Bite the bullet and get to the ER to be checked out. They will take an x ray.  My son had issues like this way and it was not his appendix---  it was a problem within his intestines in that he was constipated (even though he did have bm's) and the bowel into his intestines was full of poop acting like a bowel blockage.  An enema at the hospital fixed it.  But you don't know what is going on until you are seen.  So, please go get seen. good luck

I went to the doctor and he said it is probably related to the PCOS.  He has me on Metformin along with my Victoza.  I hope it goes away soon.  However, just today I realized I have my second kidney stone.

I'd go get it checked out just in case.  Even if it ends up just being because of a cyst, they could do something for you.  It'd be better to err on the side of caution as appendicitis is life-threatening.

When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience. Hope this helps =)
