About a week or two after my 20th birthday, I was having real bad pains in my abdomin (abdomen). After a few hours of pain, I finally went to the hospital to get checked out. My left ovary was about almost the size of a golf ball. There was a cyst that had ruptured and caused about a pint of blood internal bleeding. I went to a Korean hospital. (I'm in the U.s. military, stationed in Korea) The doctors cutCuts and puncture wounds me from one side to the other above my public line, just to remove one ovary. Are they supposed to cutCuts and puncture wounds me that long for just one ovary? Also, with my ovary being removed, affect me as well as my body in the long run? I know that I am already experiencing weight gain, depression, and the majority of the symptoms that I have read of. I know that my surgery has effected some of the decisions that I have made, is that a result of the surgery also? Curious and looking for answers..
hi , when you were taken in they may not have known the cause and performed a laparotomy which is a larger scar ,to invesigate the cause . one ovary will not give you any probs really . i only have one and have had 2 kids since .depresion is prob down to anxiety of what happened to you and not understanding .can you get some councelling at your base to help you feel better about it ?
Hey there i am 23 and i had an eptopic preg in Aug 06 and when they had to in and remove my tube they found that the pregnancy had actually grown into my ovary so they had to remove the ovary as well and they couldnt stop the bleeding so they had to make abig cutCuts and puncture wounds along my bikini line (basically another c-section scar) but only because they couldnt stop the bleeding. so possibly because you were already bleeding inside they didnt want to risk the procedure that takes longer to do and have you bleed to deathDiscussing death with children Gangrene Liver cell death Loss of a child - resources Sudden infant death syndrome so i am sure they were justified in doing what they did but if you are still curious as to why then ask them that is what they are there for. Good Luck
