I know they are ridiculous, ive had stomach problems for over a year now n ive gone to 3 different GI's n not one of them had bothered to find out whats wrong or bother to take the time. Are the any other gynos around u? Maybe try another one. The most i think they would do is just look or take a small sample od the discharge. But yes when i had the bv they told me that it did need antibiotics bc i treated it as a yeast with monitstat n i had done a dose of the 3 day n then a 1 day n it was stil there.
Yes, I called my gyno/midwife last week and spoke with the nurse. They said they had never worked on children so they weren't sure...I was actually surprised at the lack of help, they're very natural type people. I think she should go to a gyno too, I mean it IS they're specialty. She's only 2.5, but it's not like they're going to stick anything up there anyway just look. But as soon as you mention her age, people get all weird. It's ridiculous. Perhaps I'll try the office again. Her area actually looked even more red last night, and that's after 4 days of yeast infection treatment, so I'm pretty convinced it's BV. And, if it IS BV, she got it from antibiotics, so I don't want to give them to her again. I've heard that tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar baths can help?
Hello, im sorry about ur daughter. I had bv a few months ago n had to get antibiotics through my gyno. To tell u the truth doctors today dont care n dont take the tome to find out whats wrong, just as long as they get paid they dont care. How old is your daughter. Even if she is young i would suggest taking her to a gyno, seeing as it pertains to her vagina. If it is bv she need a presciption of antibiotics for that. It could be a bad yeast infection but most of the time (atleast when ive gotten them) they need antibiotics for that as well. Like i said u didnt tell how old she was and especially if shes young i know u probably dont want to think about taking her to a gyno but if its something that will help her its probably in urs and her best interest. U could also just call the gyno and talk to a nurse there 1st n see if they think u should bring her. I always knew when i was about to get a yeast infection, i only had itching though, no discharge or smell. When i had bv i had a yellowish discharge, itching, severe burning when urination, severe pain in the vagina and lower stomach and i had a little bit of a smell. The normal discharge color should be a white, creamy white or just the slightest bit yellow, when its grey or green or any other color that a good 99% of the time point to an infection and a bad one at that. So think about just giving a gyno a call or talking to one of their nurses. Good luck n i hope this helped n keep me posted.
