BV can be difficult to treat. Recurrence is common. You really shouldn't have had any sex until everything is all cleared up, wether it was protected sex or not. If the bacterial overgrowth that is causing bv moves up into the uterus, you could become infertile or develope pelvic inflammatory disease.
Go back to the doc, tell him what's going on. Make sure to mention that you did have sex too. Sometimes it just takes a longer course of treatment to get ride of it. Don't play with your health. There will be plenty of time for sex in the future.
