Bacterial Vaginitis Help!!!

by Tlong, Apr 26, 2006 12:00AM
I was diagnosed with BV last month. I thought I had a yeast infection ( a little irratation and LOTS of pain during sex) The first visit to the MD i was given an RX for oral antibotic (antibiotic). I still was not feeling well and went back and was given Metro-gel. I went back to make sure that everything is well and the MD told me I have a yeast infection and no BV. I haven't had sex in over a month and I have slight irratation. I am also having slight pelvic pain and I'm not sure what is going on! I do not have any discharge, oder. What could this be??? I need advice as how to treat this and how to make sure i'm getting the proper treatment.

I feel your pain.  I recently went thru similar events.  You took the antibiotic to clear up the BV and now you have a yeast infection.  That is very common.  Hopefully he gave you something to treat the yeast infection, which should take about 7 days to clear up.  If he didn't, go and get the Monistat 7 Day Treatment (the 3 day usually isn't as effective in clearing it up).  I know, it's a pain, but you will eventually get it under control.

Good Luck!
Pam
