I've experience bV for years and the best thing that works for me is using a mild soap(hypoallergelic), the water works natural douche and the vh essential product (vh essental.com) preferably the douch concentration & the bv inserts all over-the-counter products.

Well, did your husband get treated?  My ob-gyn told me he always sees to it that the husband and wife take the antibiotics at the same time, to keep from passing the BV back and forth.

Im married:) I have had BV before... but my symptoms aren't all gone... still some discharge and itching:/ The only thing is that I have a party to attend in a few days and these meds are strictly no alcohol. I wonder if there are any other meds that would work for BV?

You could.  Call your doc and see if he wants to extend the prescription to ten days or even two weeks.  Also, if you are still having sex with someone who has not had any antibiotics, you should ask about having your partner get a prescription also.
