Belly Button

by heavencloudrose, Mar 24, 2007 12:00AM
I was just wondering if anyone could help me out on this.
I am overweight. My belly button on the sides going to my stomach is red. When I boil it out with periode it turns red. My mom says its yeast infection.
My aunt told me that she had a cyst years ago, that she had to have surgically removed.
I asked 2 doctors about it and they said it was yeast because of my fat.
Could anyone help me.
I have epilepsy, I take keppra 3000mg, zoloft 100mg, and metanx and right now decreasing topamax to get off of it completely.

Yeast is a natural part of the flora of your body and in moist places it can grow out of control until it irritates.  It can be in your mouth, underarms, vagina, anywhere really. You should make sure to keep the area clean and dry. Try some gold bond powder or otc clotrimazole and clean it twice a day, if it doesn't clear up you in a few days, let your dr know, ok?
