Bipolar and possibly pregnant

My last period start date was Sept 1 or 2. I'm bipolar and have been on meds for three years. I'm on Prsac, welbutrin and zyprexa. I've taken three home pregnancy tets. The first one kept changing color but turned negative. THe second had the one line and a faint trace of a second one, so it was positive. the thrid was positive. I went to the doctor and they came out negative, but the doctor was confused and still ebeleived i'm pregnany. He did a blood test and it still came out negative. How can i have a positive pregnancy tets and i go to the doctor and they show negative? I have the symptoms of pregnancy, and i'm not stressed. Can the hormone imbalance iwth bipolar, OR any meds have an effect on a pregnancy test, or a pregnancy itself?

Does anyone know if Lamictal and Risperdal are drugs that women can continue to take when pregnant? I plan to ask my doctor when I can see her, which is in a month. For now, I'm just doing some research. I am not pregnant now or planning to be right away, but may at some point in the future. That is, if there is a medicine and/or vitamin regimen that I can still take that will keep me (at least mostly) sane!

Well I am bipolar and I don't believe that my medications made an effect. I was taking Lamicatal, lexapro, clonopin. But I do know that your dr. would be very cautious if you are. They took me off imediately. I know that you can take Omega-3 if you wish to get pregnant. I never liked Zyprexa when I took it so I went off from it and have been doing fine except I went through extremely terrible withdrawals. If you have a psychiatric medication dr. talk to them about it.

alot of woman implant and then the PG just doesn't take....it is called a chemical PG. i too have had this happen. so the pos was just that...and then the egg could have disinigrated and that is why the blood tests are also neg. many woman with bipolar go to have very healthy babies though. my cousin has severe bipolar and has 3 kids. if you want to get PG talk to you doc about your meds and the effects....see which meds are a must and what risks go with it. my cousin did herbal treatments during PG.

Some medications can cause a false positive urine pregnancy test; I don't know if your meds can or not.  You could call your pharmacist and ask (they are sometimes more with it than docs when it comes to drug effects).

But the blood pregnancy test should have been positive if you are pregnant.  An ultrasound would certainly tell for sure, if your doctor is confused or thinks you really are pregnant.
