I was perscribed 2 different kinds before I found one that worked. I was taking Kariva and it DEFINATLY made a difference.
I have been off it for 6 months now (TTC) and still no cyst problems, not even irregular periods. It really helped me when I thought that nothing was going to work. It might take a few months before you find it works just right, but being patient, and I KNOW it is hard to do when you are in THAT much pain, definatly will pay off in the long run. Good luck!
I was wondering the same thing about birth control and ovarian cysts. I have two ovarian cysts one is 4.6cm on the left and 2.5cm on the right. I have been on birth control for 2 months and have noticed much lighter periods and a lot less pain. As for the cysts I am suppossed to get checked in about 4 months. I can only hope the birth control works for all of us!
