Black spot on labia

I noticed a black spot on my labia last night.  It almost looks like a dirty gray smudge.  There is no pain or discomfort associated with it, but should I be alarmed by the contrasting color to the rest of my skin down there?  Is it possible it's just a bruise or should I get it checked out?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless it starts to hurt. I would think it will go away if it is a bruise.

It's probably safe to wait a couple weeks to see if it resolves but after about two weeks you may want to see a dermatologist to rule out any skin conditions.
