Bladder sling issues

I have stress incontinence and dr is suggesting a sling. He said it is like a hammock to hold everything together, I am going back to his office later this month to go over all options. I have heard many complaints with the sling/mesh and been doing research on it also. I see many complaints from years ago, are these issues still happening today or is it old material that was recalled? If still issues, what other options do I have that I can suggest to my dr while we are discussing my surgery?

So, stress incontinence meaning if you sneeze, cough or jump?  That type of thing?  Have you tried the poise route at all?  I do have a friend that has some success with that product.  I am sure this is a big deal to you as leaking or urinating in a way you can't control is difficult to deal with.  I feel for you.  Definitely research your options and maybe get a second opinion.  I would, personally.  good luck
