Bleeding after Sex

For starters I have been having severe anxiety in my life for a few months now. I am on my 5th month on the pill and this month I've had some spotting. I am on the last two active pills in the pack and I had rough sex with my boyfriend and bled after (almost like my period flow blood). My doctor told me the spotting was from my anxiety and moving back to college. However bleeding last night worried me (I am also a severe hypochondriac). I didn't have any blood today, only a little spotting. I am on my last day of my active pills and my period should start tomorrow. Is it possible the rough sex prompted my period to start sooner?
