Bleeding during the period

How often do you bleed each day of your period? I got mine yesterday and I'm on my 9th pad. I'm new to this but would like to know how many pads I need for a 12-hour school day. Do you bleed more than usual on your first time? And if your blood clots are about 2cm in length and 1cm in width should you be concerned. Please help, thanks. Niamh.

Through your entire period they say you bleed 1 TBSP of blood. UMM that never was the case for me. If you are having these big blood clots and lots of bleeding I would see your doctor or ask him/her to send you to a gynecologist.

Are you saying this is your first period EVER and this is how much you have bled with the clots?

There could many reasons behind heavy bleeding in which need to see a gynecologist because too much bleeding can cause you to be anemic and could be a sign of Endometriosis or Adenomyosis.
