Bleeding from or around Clitoris

Last week I noticed I was spotting but I wasnt sure from where..Then I pinpointed it to my clitoris area.. I dont feel pain and so I had my husband check..said he saw a cut..but wasnt too sure if thats what it was..
I've been putting vaseline..but it seems to bleed more & kinda smells like menstrual blood. Just today I started having cramps.. but my period is due within the next day or so ..not sure if its from that. If it is a cut wouldnt it have healed???

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Dryness during sex can often cause trauma to the cliotoris. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream or topical antibiotics cream like Neosporin and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
