Bleeding right after ovulation?

So according to my tracking app, I was ovulating between the 17th-22nd. My fiance and I had sex on the 14th & 15th and also on the 21st and the 22nd. We aren't trying to get pregnant, but we aren't not tying either. Since we are moving to a different state, and starting new jobs right now though, I did take a plan B on the 15th. Today, the 23rd, I'm experiencing dark spotting directly after my ovulation. My cycle is pretty regular, and I've never experienced this before. Is this cause for alarm? Is this probably due to the plan B? I'm not sure what's going on. Anyone have any idea?

Hi there.  Plan B will cause irregular bleeding.  It's a hefty dose of hormones and that is how it works.  The downside is that the irregularity can last a couple of months or so.  You will not know at all when you will next ovulate and remember that sperm lives for up to a week as well so you can become pregnant having sex a week before you ovulate.  So, use protection if you are not wishing to get pregnant the next couple of months.  But expect that you will have this bleeding, then no period for a while or erratic bleeding, every woman is different and reacts to the hormones a bit differently that are in Plan B.  But it is all normal after taking it.  good luck with your move!
