Blood Clot No Period

Hi!  I am 35 years old with a regular cycle of 28 days.  My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years with no result.  During my last ovulation, my husband and I did have intercourse.  My period is not due for another 7 days.  This morning, when I urinated, there was a blood clot approx. the size of a quarter (maybe larger?) with no menstrual bleeding.  Should we be concerned?  It is a Sunday, is a visit to the ER neccessary?  It is too early for a pregnancy test, and I have had no other sign or symptoms of being pregnant (other than very tired last 2 days).  I am very worried (and obviously tearful after trying to conceive for so long).  Does anyone have any idea about this?

relax.......we are in the same boat.  read my story for more info.

i'm gonna test tomorrow. i'm now late and the suspense is killing me.  i saw a clot with my son years ago. i'm praying that the same thing has happened again. Problem is my cycles are very far apart but they are regular since last year.

my best advice to you is to wait until next week to test if it still does not start.

YOU DO NOT NEED THE ER YET....smile sweety.  you have company and you are not alone.

Someone please explain this and help me with this.  I called my gyno to see if I need to go to ER, and he said it's just menstration beginning (8 hours later still no bleeding).  He & I lined up my ovulation with today and he said I should be beginning menstruation 14 days from ovulation which would be today.  However, that would take my 28 day cycle to a 22 day cycle.  He swears I'm not old and going through premenopause.....  PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!
