Blood clott during periods

Hi,can anybody help me in getting this information. I work for appx 15-16 hrs in a day. Recently, iam having very irregular periods (from past 8 months) and this time,my periods started 13 days back n still bleeding along with Clotts. I never had this clotting before and is the first time.Im scared and atleast 5-6 times/day, i wil hav the clots (as big as Grape fruit,) coming out and kind of frustrating. I'm 31 yrs n have one kid. What cud be the reason for having this clot this time, which was never before. Is it due to stress or something else?. Had been to Doc and did the pregnancy test and came out as negative. DOC asked me to go for US scan on 31st and sceduled the next appt on 5th Nov. she didnot gave any pills to stop the bleeding. How can i bear this for another 20 days? please suggest me.

could be stress but you really need a doc that will take this seriously, today. this is not normal, so often and so big....a grapefruit????Jeez. This is a lot of blood to loose. Please see someone who will help you today. good luck.
