Breast Pain. Pregnant?

I am 21 years old and a smoker (5-8 cigs per day).

I took 15 tablets of Cytotec when I found out I was pregnant, exactly two weeks after the "sexual accident" so about 4 weeks lmp but it failed because I took hpt after a week and a half and the conception indicator rises (2-3 weeks to 3+ weeks, meaning my hcg levels didn't decrease). I went to a clinic and they confirmed the Cytotec failed to abort and the pregnancy was still viable. Then I had a surgical abortion two weeks ago (at about 6-7 weeks lmp) and I went for the check up and they did an pelvic ultrasound with my bladder empty and told me I am no more pregnant. I did the hpt (Clear Blue digital with conception indicator) and the conception indicator was 1-2 weeks - which to my understanding is my hcg level is decreasing, but still saying I am pregnant (in which I have been told it would take awhile for it to be off my body).

My breast soreness - the type that hurts to touch and painful going over road bumps, was gone few days ago. But replaced with breast pains that is noticeable without touching. But I have been having upper back pain that sometimes spreads to my rib cage. And I still have discomfort around my pelvic area as well as down low around my vaginal area.

Is it possible that the breast soreness evolved to the pain and I am still pregnant, meaning the surgical abortion failed? The doctor did mentioned she checked it all and it seems everything was out. I am 98% sure the surgery went well, but the 2% doubt is bothering me like crazy. Or is it the breast pain because I was having body ache due to smoking?

Thanx. I need some good luck. But it is pretty scary that the tenderness is replaced with shooting pains that is quite noticeable yet not really hurts when touched.

But I couldn't do anything but to wait for another couple of weeks for another hpt hoping it'll be negative.

Hi there and welcome.  If you've had a surgical abortion, then you are no longer pregnant.  You also confirmed this after the fact with a doctor.  The reason breasts are tender during pregnancy is the hormones ---  and those take a while to go away after an abortion.  So, you still have some of the hormones of the pregnancy circulating causing the symptoms.  I would not worry that you are pregnant and give those hormones a chance to fully subside.  Your period may be irregular for a bit as well as your body tries to get back to normal.  Sorry you had to go through that.  good luck dear
