Brown Spotting

Hello, I have a quick question. I have been taking bc pills for over seven years and I have never forgot to take them, however last month I forgot to take my pill and so I decided to take it the next day with my normal scheduled pill. Then about a week later I forgot to take my pill again. So I decided to take this pill like I did the other the following day when the next pill was scheduled. Now I have had brown spotting before my period, and now I should be on my period and I haven't started yet. I just have a little bit of brown spotting which has been going on for about four days. What should I do. I am suppose to start my new pack of pills this coming sunday and today is wednesday, should I start the new pack without having my period? Did I screw something up by missing my pills two seperate times in the same month? I am worried please help...

,it could just be from the pill mix up, but you should take a pregnancy test to be sure. I was put on birth control to try to dissolve a cyst and I got pregnant on the pill and took it everyday at the same time.
