Brown discharge 2 1/2 weeks before period

I always have a brown discharge right before and immediately following my period..But this time, I had the discharge afterwards, it went away for about a week, but then came back 2 1/2 weeks before my next period is about to start. What does this mean?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Brown discharge after period could be due to delayed shedding of endometrial lining which could have turned into a scab and look brown in colour. It could also occur due to STD’s, Pelvic inflammatory disease, pregnancy and trauma to the vagina or cervix or uterus.

You might have to go for a complete hormone profile and ultrasonography to know the cause of this .Get in touch with an Obstetrician and Gynecologist for further assistance.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
