Bruises, Fatigue, Internal Gas, Discharge

loy
I am 27 and I have been very physically active for a long time running, cycling, weights.I am moderaterly sexally active but I use protection.I have just in the last month starting having some huge and some small bruises pop up all over my body. They are painful.I also in the last six months have had at least 3 ovarian cysts and almost daily stomach bloating and gas. The bruises can't be from my lifestyle because it hasn't changed at all so or from my kids. I get up 10 new bruises every day and had a boyfriend count as many as 100 that we could see.  I was checked for anemia and had my thyroid levels checked and they were normal. I used to be able to function on not much sleep and I feel like I want to go to bed after 10 hours now which is not an option working full-time and being a single mom. Any advice that could be given would be very helpful.

I suggest you check out this link on ITP (the main symptom is bruising) and talk to your physician:

I was thinking that this sounds like your blood is thinning for some reason, so I looked up the Mayo Clinic's stuff on blood thinning and bruising, and here is an excerpt:

"Certain dietary supplements such as fish oil, ginkgo, ginger and garlic ... may increase your bruising risk, since these supplements have a blood-thinning effect. Make sure your doctor is aware of any supplements you're taking ... your doctor may recommend avoiding certain over-the-counter medications or supplements.

In some cases bruising may indicate something more serious, such as a blood-clotting problem or a blood disease. See your doctor if:

* Your bruises seem to develop for no known reason
...
* You have no history of bruising but suddenly experience bruises, particularly if you recently started a new medication

These signs and symptoms can indicate that you have low levels — or abnormal function — of platelets, a component of blood that helps blood clot after an injury. To diagnose the cause of your bruising, your doctor may check your blood platelet levels or the ability of your blood to coagulate."

Hope this helps.  Annie
