Burning pain after LAVH in abdomen

On left side and between belly button and incision, have had a pain there like a nerve pain, burns and stings, can only sleep on my back, to have no pain, standing no pain. only when I get up and down or sit for very long and lay on side or stomach it feels like I have been branded and like something is pushing on something against my belly button when I lay on side.  My right side is great no pain at all.  I am 2 weeks post op, hoping this will get better and I can start sleeping better.  I only take Motrin for pain, but it doesn't do anything for this.  Other than this I am doing well.

You need to report this to the surgeon.  You have a post-op visit coming up?  If not, make an appointment and let him check you.  Hernia, infection, abscess, adhesions, suture that isn't being absorbed as it should, or even a surgical foreign body from something having been left behind are all possibilities.
