CYST ON THE OVARY

I HAD MY DAUGHTER IN THE ER ALL NIGHT WITH VOMITING AND STOMACHE PAIN.THEY DID A CT SCAN ON HER STOMACHE AND FOUND A 2.0CM CYST ON HER RIGHT OVARY. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? SHE`S ONLY 14 YEARS OLD AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS IS TAKEN CARE OF PROPERLY. AND WHAT CAUSES THIS?

Hi, most cysts are benign. Some are simple and some are complex.
You can still get pregnant if you have a cyst. I've heard stories of women with only one ovary or even 1/3 of an ovary getting pregnant. I usually post in the Ovarian Cancer forum...I'm 26 and have a 5.1cm complex cyst with debris, it is inside of my right ovary. I have a follow-up u/s in 9 days. Maybe you two should come over to the OvCa forum and see if you can find what you're looking for. Even if you don't wanna' post, it never hurts to look.

I am 19 and also went to the ER found I too have a cyst on my ovary.  But  I am trying to get preg. do you think it will affect it?  Can i still get prego?

My cousin had problems with this when she was in high school.  She would go to ER with pain and nausea and they said that her cysts were rupturing.  The doctor put her on birth control, to reduce her chances of ovarian cancer.
