you shouldn't use it if you have high or low blood pressure,asthma and quite a few other things.you should talk to your doctor first.here is a link for more information.
It can increase blood pressure especially over an extended use. However, I don't believe that it should be a problem for a one time procedure. BUT, you should call your dr that prescribed the bp med first to be safe. Best wishes to you.
