Hi thank you so much for telling me this. My gyna has asked me on two different occassions if I was aware of having abnormal scar tissue growth following my tubal ligation. I responded by saying no. However, I feel as if I am pregnant even though I have never been in my entire life. There is a constant feeling of fullness, and as I had mentioned, the frequent urination seems to be worsening. My gyna performed a byopsy on me and sent it to the lab for results. I wasn't told of what the results read, just that I needed to report to Radiology/ Ultrasound on January 14th. I most definitely will follow yours and remars advice. I feel that more than likely this will lead to hysterectomy. So if its not necessary, Its not going to happen.
Hi all women who have a hysterectomy go immediatley into a surgically induced menopause/
as the others have said are you certain its fibtoids? could be enlarged uterus , puts pressue on bladder
also your friends are correct fibroids can be treated with out hyster..if you can at all avoid hysterectomy do so. its a very difficult operation. hard recovery. but then you do get better, likely will have issues w hormones
the way fibroids are remove is called emobilization.
Has your Dr confirmed that you have fibroids? It's true that you are having some of the possible symptoms.
I'm glad to hear your getting the ultra sound. If you do have fibroids the treatment depends on how big they are.
I wish I could be of more help to you but I've never had fibroids. You might want to pop over to the hysterectomy forum and look up our CL Cherie. You can send her a personal message. Just look for her name, she also has a purple star by her name. Take care. Remar
hi
Thank you for your support. I can only hope that my chances of having fybroids are slim. However, I am currently experiencing some frequent urination and constipation, which are symptoms of having fybriods. I also had some hormonal changes after my tubal ligation. Some of which I could have done without. I'm hoping this time that i dont have to go through those changes again.
You can start menopause in your 30's, that's true. But if your having a fibroid removed you will not have any menopausal symptoms from that. They are not removing any reproductive organs. There are treatments for fibroids so it does not always lead to a hysterectomy. If you were to have a hysterectomy then yes, you would probably have menopause symptoms. There is hormone therapy to help with that though.
Find out what your ultrasound results are and do research. If your Dr only gives you the option of a hysterectomy then get a second or even a third opinion. I hope this helps some. Take care. Remar
