Can't be screened for cancer tradional ways due to severe breast pain

by nomammosforme, Apr 13, 2007 12:00AM
I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on ways I can be screened for breast cancer without a mammogram, MRI, or ultrasound for the breast.  I had extensive cancer treatment for Non Hodgkins Lymphoma over 14 years ago and since then my breasts are so sensitive I have never been able to have a mammogram.  Because I had an emergency pacemaker put in last year that makes an MRI impossible.  Any ideas on how to screen highly sensitive breasts?

Thanks

I would seriously consider a codeine-based painkiller followed by a mammogram.  It's amazing how much pain a painkiller can take out, and to get a mammogram is that important.

You could do the blood test for the braca 1 and braca 2.  Do you think you have breast cancer is that why you want to be tested.
