Cervix pain?

Hello, about 3 days ago I started my period , I've used tampons for years and when I went to remove it I got a massive stabbing/ripping pain , I could feel it was my cervix , i checked and it feels like there's a tear and I feels like a ache, is this something I should worry about is there any other reason for it to tear so easy? These symptoms can be due to cervicitis. Cervicitis is most often caused by an infection, usually caught during sexual activity. However it can be due to use of diaphragms, allergic reaction, pessaries etc.

Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and others. If you are menopausal, then you may need hormonal therapy. Other treatment options include electrocautery and cryosurgery.
