Chest pains

Hello again ladies!  I am 22 years old and since the age of about 15 till now I have occasionally experienced strange chest pains.  They happen very rarely, but seem like they are usually the product following a stressful situation.  I used to work in restaraunts cooking and after a big rush of orders I would sometimes have these strange pains.  I get dizzy, really really hot, sometimes my arm(s) will hurt, my chest hurts, and my pulse races like a million beats per minute. I keep my finger on it, it feels really really faint and almost not there, but I can hear it pounding through my whole body and its like my mody is pulsating with it.  If I hold on to like a pen or something the pen will shake in my hand, to the same beat that my heart is beating at.  I usually have to sit down, and they last anywhere from 2 mintutes to half an hour.  they really are very rare, maybe between 4 and 8 times a year.  I talked to my docter when I was 18 and he kind of told me it was a co-incidence that my arm hurts and my chest hurts at the same time and he brushed it off.  But I think maybe he is wrong. any thoughts?

I have a hiatal hernia that gives me acid relux.  I have similar symptoms from that- chest pressure, heart palpitations, tightness in my throat.  Mine definitely gets worse when I am anxious.

Are you thinking about anything say when culring your hair that perhaps is bringing it on...maybe its an anxiety attack...pretty simiiar to panic attacks.

I hope you figure it out.....until then take care and don't be afraid to see a dr.

Yeah, they do feel like a heart attack- I think, I havent really had one.  But I have had panic attack before and these are different.  sometimes they happen out of the blue, like I will be standing up and I get that head rush feeling and THEN the chest pain starts, or curling my hair and it will start.  Thank you for the reply :)

Panic Attacks-induced by stress. I have them and take Xanax. Ask your dr about it and if he snubs you-go get a second opinion. It almost feels like your having a heart attack, right?
