I am 29 years old and a mother of two, a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Right before I got pregnant with my second child I noticed a sharp pain in the lower part of my abdomen, just to the left of my belly button. It came on suddenly and I was not sure what it was. It almost felt like a side ache when exercising that would not go away. I was going to get it looked into but then I became pregnant. I did ask my OB Dr. about it while I was pregnant and she said it may be a slight hernia but we would look into it later. So now I have had my daughter for 3 months and the pain is still here. I have been to the Doctor to see if it was a hernia but they told me it wasn't after examination. Some days it is a dull achy pain that only gets worse when pressing on it. Other days, especially after exercising it is extremely painfulPainful menstrual periods, painfulPainful menstrual periods to the point that I can't stand up straight. I have been to the Doctor and had a sigmoidoscopy done. This was a painfulPainful menstrual periods test but was normalNormal saline flush. They couldn't get all the way up because I was in too much pain when they reached the area in my abdomen that hurts. They told me that was the area where my colon made a sharp turn but they did not see anything abnormal. Now I am scheduled to have an ultrasound and a transvaginalTransvaginal ultrasound ultrasound. I really am concerned as to what this is. Can anyone help?
I just went into today for the same thing.....my OB siad he didn't feel anything but could be ruptured cyst or hernia or scar tissue from C-Section.....they are too sending me to Ultrasound next friday..........In the meantime-they gave me pain medication to help with pain...thank god. This **** kills. :(
