Some birth control pills can apparently help prevent cysts, but if there is already 1 formed birth control pills CAN'T dissolve it.  Actually quite to the contray the hormones in the pills can cause it to grow quicker.  Cysts almost always dissolve on their own, & usually with no pain so just drink lots of water & see your dr if it becomes painful.  I'm sure ur dr will repeat the ultrasound )assuming that's how it was found) in 6 weeks to check it's size.
