I am 23 y.o. and I've been trying to have a baby with my husband for about 2 years. I got diagnosed with amenorrheaAbsence of menstruation (amenorrhea) Amenorrhea - primary Menstruation - absent Primary amenorrhea Secondary amenorrhea at 18. I was going to go to a fertility doctor but I can't afford it. I decided to order a drug called clomid. I want to make sure that I will take this drug correctly since I am not under the supervision of a doctor. Can anyone help me with the instructions on taking this? I know that you're supposed to take clomid early on in your cycle, but I don't have a cycle haven't had one in about 3 months (previously it was a year) and I am not pregnant. Do I just begin taking the clomid whenever for the 5 days??? Is anyone in my situation? Was anyone in my situation and did they get pregnant??? I'm just trying to keep hope alive.... :( Please help....
i am not in that situation, but i do know what it's like to not be able to afford to go to a doctor. one suggestion i have, if you don't get any advice on here, you could always go to wal-greens or wal-mart and ask the pharmists what to do. i have done this several times and they are really helpful. like i said just a suggestion from someone who knows how it feels to have questions about things and cannot afford to go to the doctor. good luck!
I wish I could help, but taking Clomid without medical supervision can be very dangerous. This medication is not candy. It can have some serious side effects.
The good news is that you don't need a fertility doctor to prescribe it. Any OB-GYN is very familiar with this drug, and can supervise its use if it is the appropriate drug for you.
And since you must have an OB doctor anyway since you are trying to conceive, there shouldn't be a problem financially as there might be with a fertility specialist.
I have your same problem. I don't ovulate so I don't have regularRegular insulin periods and all my blood test and ultrasounds are ok. Before starting clomid, you should take provera for 10 days and wait for your perios. Then on the third day, you have to start with clomid for 5 days. This will be my second cycle with 50Mg because the first didn't make me ovulate. Hope this information is useful and that you find a way to go to the doctor and get monitored by an specialist because I have heard a lot of side effects for clomid (I dind't feel anyone, but maybe it was because I didn't ovulate).
i would check out the fertiltiy forum as many of those women are on clomid, but i think it should be illegal to purchase drugs without a prescription and doctor support
