I had a very late period back in January that ended up lasting for months. It finally stopped in April. My next period started May 9 and is still going heavily, so I think I'm in for another marithon bleeding. One OBGYN I saw suggested Clomid if it happened again. Has anyone had a similar experience and used Clomid to get things back on track? My husband and I would love to get pregnant, but I can't seem to stop bleeing to even know when or if I'm ovulating! Thanks.
I havent heard of Clomid as stopping a period to get pregnant. Usually they give you provera to start a period...but I remember one lady on here that was given provera to stop her period while on it and then she would have one 3-5 days after the last pill. I was on provera in Dec 05 and Jan 06 and now am 17 weeks pregnant. Usually you take provera to jump start your period and then a round of clomid. Maybe you should ask your Dr's the reason behind wanting to give you clomid. New studies on drugs come out all the time. Best of luck!
