Colposcopy/cervical biopsy >> missed period >> pregnant?

I recently had an abnormal pap test and positive HPV results--so I had a colposcopy and cervical biopsy taken two weeks ago.

I've been on Estrostep FE for several years now, take it regularly, and haven't missed my scheduled pill in the past month. Still, last week should have been a period week and nothing came.

Would the biopsy have any effect on my period or is it time to worry and take a pregnancy test?

Help!

hi
ive had the pap and colposcopy to confirm pre-cancerous cells due to hpv last october.
i remember my gyn telling me that some women can get late periods or have a small change due to the exam but that its not a procedure that would mess up periods.. in long term ....good luck

I've had the coposcopy as well....No change in AF.
I would assume that maybe the biopsy could alter things a bit.
But I would def take an hpt...and if it's neg....wait a week and try again..or you might want to get a quantative for fast accurate results.
Good luck!
