Condom rolling up, the pill, and pregnancy risks

I have recently become sexually active with my boyfriend of one year. This is our first sexual experience for both of us. i have been on Yasmin birth control for almost 2 years now, but we are still using condoms during intercourse for extra protection. when we have sex, the condom doesnt stay all the way down at the base of the penis. instead it starts to roll up a bit, and by the time we are done the condom is about half way on, maybe more like 3/4 of the way. could i be pregnant from something like this? i am good about taking my birth control at the same time every day, however this month i took it 2.5 hours late one day. and it's not like the condom is coming all the way off, just sliding a bit.
my period is due on tuesday, but i heard you can still even get your perios when you are pregnant, so i feel so confused. how could i know?

Although the pill works to PREVENT ovulation, bodies vary. I know several people who got pregnant while on the pill (one woman who got pregnant THREE times while on the pill and taking it as directed), so I still recommend that you listen closely to your body (whether you choose to see if/when you ovulate or merely double-up on your birth control by using a diaphram, different size of condom, etc., it is important that you continue to protect yourself via another method). Best wishes!!!

Lol... I must admit, my first thought was this guy either has a tree trunk or a pretzel stick for the condom to be so ill-fitting. I suspect however he is of the tree family, so while I understand your issue, I must also say, woohoo congrats! :O)

You are not pregnant, but awfully lucky...

i dont think its too small, i think you need to find one that might be bigger. my dh had the same problem with condoms then we tried the magnum and have no problems ;)

No chance of getting pregnant.  I agree though, that if you want to continue to use condoms, he should buy some smaller ones, so they don't slip off.

I know that condoms come in different sizes, so I would recommend looking into a different brand/size to see if it stays on better.
I agree with the other posters that you are being very responsible and drastically decreasing the risk of conception. I would say that an added step to consider is researching your body to determine when you are ovulating. By knowing your cycle and refraining from sex two weeks prior to starting your period (depending on the length of your cycle, around two weeks after starting your period should be two weeks before your next period). Abstaining during this time would be very beneficial to depleting the risk of pregnancy also.
Good luck ... I am truly happy to hear how cautious you two are being. You get kudos for being so responsible ... try to encourage your friends to do the same thing!!!! Best wishes!

First of all, you don't ovulate on the pill, so you certainly can't track when you're ovulating.

Anyway, unless actual semen actually gets into your vagina, you can't POSSIBLY be pregnant. Even if you once took your pill 2.5 hours late (if you're tracking it this closely, you're doing way better than probably 99% women ;-)). In order to get pregnant, you 1. must be ovulating, and 2. semen has to be directly deposited on your vulva or in your vagina. That's it.

i am no expert on the how to's of putting on a condom but he has to be doing something wrong when he puts it on? it should not slip/roll up like that.

Not likely that you will get pregnant. You are protected with your birth control and unless the condom comes off completely, breaks or has a hole in it, you should be ok with them too!!
