Constipated

Hello ladies, Me and my DH are currently TTC, last week i was very constipated not had a BM for 6 days so i have to take Duco lax to make me go on 22nd (sorry if TMI)the day after i had taken them AF showed up and i wasnt due for another 5 days, it was very short and was brown i finished yesterday, which is rare for me im usually 5 days. i did think i was pregant this month because i had lots of sytoms, sore bbs, tired, constipated, but now af came im obviously not, my question is could the duco lax that i had taken make my af show up this early? im sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. i am also constipated again ive not had a BM since Sunday and i feel so bloated. :-)

I am always constipated. i know how u feel. I wouldn't advise using laxitives so much. I eat cereal. It's called  cracklin oat bran. It's really good, believe it or not. It works!! I have been soooooo bloated and just feel bad all over. I hadn't been to the store so I hadn't been to the bathroom for a while. I don't know how many day's. I started with major GAS!! I finally went and got my cereal and sure enough i went. I feel soooo much better. I weighed my self and i had over 5lbs. of poo. I was full of it. lol. I lose energy if i'm constipated. It's not good to be constipated. and taking laxitives all the time isn't good for your body. try the cereal. I promise u it will work. also, a laxitive doesn't get it all out.  Are you taking vitamins? sometimes they will cause you to stop up. the prenatal ones are really bad, or at least they were for me. Hope this has helped. Let me know if the cereal helped. hope everything comes out ok. lol

Try Metamucil, it will keep you regular.  But yes bran cereal does help has well.  I eat frosted mini wheats and the fiber makes me go everyday, although I do have major gas.  Fruits and veggies work well also.  Stay away from Rice and bread, it tends to bind you.

Well I find when I am that way I go for pineapple and yoga, drink plenty of water. yoghurt helps too.Take magnesium before sleeping and worse comes to worse liver tea. Eat lots of greens and oats. If the yoga doesn't help. walk it gets things moving. good luck as it can mess up your days and make you grumpy.

There is also a really good product called Benefiber.  It is not a laxative, but a powder made from some kind of bean fiber, and you can't taste it and it isn't gritty, and you just put it in liquid and drink it.  It works like Metamucil, upping the roughage and allowing you to poo.
