Could I be Pregnant?

Hello everyone!  On Monday 6/5/06 my boyfriend and I fooled around.  It is only the second time that we've done this.  I have never had sex.  The first time we fooled around I think my hymen was broken, because I had a brownish discharge.  My question is...while we were fooling around he ejaculated on/around my vulva.  I'm not on birth control/no condom used (STUDPID I KNOW!)  I know you can get pregnant this way.  I'm very stressed now!  My period should start next week.  I'm having cramps, my stomach is swollen (hard, which it does when I'm getting ready to start) and I'm very moody :)
I woke up this morning nauseous which streesed me out even more.  I am prone to getting nauseous when nervous/stressed.  So this could be why I'm sick to my stomach.  I haven't thrown up or I don't feel like I'm going to I'm just queasy.  Could this be Morning Sickness?  Does it start this early?  These are the only signs I have.  No fatigue, not urinating more frequently.  Can I be pregnant?  What can I do to tell?  I called my doctor and they said I have to be 2 weeks late.  I'm so afraid I'm going to be late due to stress.  I just want to know if I am pregnant.  Should I take a pregnancy test now? Is it too soon? PLEASE HELP...VERY WORRIED!!

your chances of being pregnant are very slim.  I have done the same thing as you many times and never gotten pregnant. yes there is a possibility but its a very small one. there is no way the symptoms you are experiencing are from pregnancy. I would say they are all stress related. I know its hard not to worry and not to obsess about something that is not going to happen. so yea, try not to worry much, wait until next week and take a pregnancy test the day your period is due to help ease your mind.

Ok, did he ejaculate inside of you?  Was there penetration?  If so, then yes there is a possibility of pregnancy.  As for taking a pregnancy test, now would be pointless.  You should wait until you are actually late for your period to test.  It will save you money and it will be accurate.

FYI:  If you dont want to become pregnant, use protection every time you and your boyfriend fool around.

Yep I know...dumb move on my part.  Never want to feel this way again.  Already made an appointment to get on Birth Control!

Good move.  Remember, BC only protects against pregnancy (not 100%).  It doesnt protect against STD's.

What exact day is your period due?  You say you did this on 6/5/06 and your period is due sometime around 6/19/06?

Unfortunately for right now all you can do is wait.  All of the symptoms you are describing are indicative of stress because it's probably too early to be feeling any pg symptoms at all.  No, morning sickness does not start this early.

Yes, you can get pg from semen ON your vulva.  It is a smaller chance than if he actually was inside you, but they aren't called "swimmers" for nothing.  Also, it appears you did this act around your fertile time.

On the day your period is late, take a hpt.  Preferrably an "early detection" type and preferrably with first morning urine because it's the most concentrated.  The results you receive on the day after your period is due are 99% accurate.  In the meantime, do something/anything to get your mind off of this.  Yes, stress can make you late, so do your best to occupy yourself in the meantime.

Good luck!  And good job on getting on bc, and just like gonza said, use condoms too to prevent STD's.

The chances of any couple, actively trying to conceive, on any given month is only 20-25%.  So, do I think you'll get pg?  No, I don't.  But is there a chance?  Yes.

Who Is This Im just messing, its just everytime I read a post about preg and am I preg and similar that fact pops up and it just makes me giggle sometimes cos I know it off by heart now!

Yes, like e.p.t. or Answer Early Result (versus just Answer) or First Response Early Result (versus just First Reponse).  Yes, they say these titles right on the box.  It seems like a lot of brands have both just a regular hpt and an early detection hpt variety.  The early detection tests are more sensitive; they can detect a lower quantity of hcg hormone.

But hopefully you won't need one.  :-)  Hopefully you'll be right on time and you can just learn from this and be wise in the future.  Let us know how this turns out!!!!!!!!

I don't think that's always her answer.  It happened to be what was called for in this instance, and actually it is called for in MANY similar instances.

don't let everyone freak you out. your chances are very slim. like I said I did the same thing as you, many times and I WORRIED FOR NOTHING. I did the same as you a few months ago and I knew I was ovulating that day. my doc said as long as there is no penetration, you cant get pregnant, and the counsellor at planned parenthood told me there was a bout a 3% chance getting pregnant this way. I have never gotten pregnant (whef!!!)  very slim chance. don't worry!
if you are really worried, i think there may still be time to take the morning after pill.
next week, like jjety said, use a 'first response', test with first morning urine, and I'm sure this will ease your mind as you wait for af.
