Could I be pregnant? Not sure if I'm reading the test correctly

I'm 7 days late. I took 2 pregnancy tests a few days ago and both were clearly negative. I took one more this morning and I think it's possitive. I know this sounds really stupid, but I'm not sure. The "positive" line is there, but it's faint - not nearly as dark as the one next to it. The test is First Response. For those of you out there that have been pregnant, please let me know if this is a positive sign.
I want to be pregnant so I'm hoping but I don't wanna get my hopes up too high :)

I look forward to receiving any advice.  Thanks!!!

I am pregnant!!! :) yeah! thank you for all the comments.  I couldn't wait to take another test, so I phoned my doctor and she said I should come in for blood. She called me this morning with the results.

I'm feeling really bloated. Is this normal?

We are all so excited for you! Can't you tell? And just to toss my nickels worth in. Have had 5 babies and have also seen those faint lines. Doctor told me "A line is a line" it counts! I always liked the ones that had a + sign or a - sign. Or yeah the yes and no ones too. They leave less guess work. Don't forget to let us know!!! We'll be waiting to hear. *fingers crossed*

this happened to me but i think it was ept. there were 2 sticks in the pack. i was about 5 days late and tried it in the evening (usually you should do it in the morning). I peed on the stick and waited what felt like a lifetime. nothing happened. i kept asking my husband to go check it..nothing. about a half hr. went by. i suggested we try the other stick. if i remember correctly, the directions said to wait another day or so (yeah right) to try again because i remember my husband and i going back and forth discussing whether or not we should wait. i ended up trying it again on the 2nd stick and let me tell you i didnt even finish peeing and there was a hot pink line!

I had a faint line when I was pregnant. A few days later it was darker. maybe try another brand - the ones that say "Yes" or "No"

I have heard that even a faint line should be counted.  The only stipulation is that you have to make sure you're reading it within the time frame that it tells you to.  If you saw the positive line after 20 minutes or so, it may not be a real result.  Also, I've heard a lot of people complain about the tests made by the more popular brands.  Several people have the "faint line problem" and then end up spending more money on another test.  Consider buying a store brand next time.  If you go to epinions.com you can read reviews of pregnancy tests and how well people did or didn't like them.

well.. my best friends line was very faint a few days later and she was pregnant,  i suggest trying another one in 2 days and you should be able to have a clear answer, please keep us posted best of luck.. But whar i have seen is that if there is a line even only a faint one it means yes you are.  and the line should only get darker
