The heated seats could definitely be a problem! Can he turn the heater off?
Have him 'take the boys in for a checkup' and check his counts - then you'd know... Good Luck!
I would think the heated seats could affect it. My DH was sitting on our bed the other night with his laptop doing some homework. After he was done I felt his lap and it was hot and so was the laptop. He had it right over his crotch area and I have read that it can cause infertility, so I would think that could be the same concept. He could turn the heated seats off. I wouldn't think the other things would really affect his fertility.
You know - none of these things are really at the extreme where his fertility should be impacted. Without being too graphic, I don't think his boys are getting cooked on the heated seats as they are not immersed in heat.
I know it doesn't feel like it - but 4 months is NOTHING. You absolutely shouldn't be worried or even thinking about potential infertility at this stage.
You are both so young, all the odds are in your favour that by 6 months, you'll have your second. Good luck!
google mens infertility, i did and found a lot about caffine and alcohol, the alcohol part might not pertain to your DH, drinking occationally shouldnt be a prob, now with my DH, he drinks ALOT on the weekend, so when we are ttc, he doesnt drink for 2 weeks before i ovulate,
Excessive Heat Exposure
Sperm production can be hindered by jacuzzis, saunas, and other things that raise the temperature of the testes. Optimal testicular temperature is 94
Thank you all so much!! Mrs. Canada, I appreciate your encouraging words, It made me feel a lot better about our ttc! I guess I'm just anxious and really want things to get going...I hope to post to all soon that I'm expecting...I have a much better attitude now, and Thanks to all the ladies that have posted comments under all my LOOOONNNGGGG questions in the past few weeks...Thanks so much!!
as far as i know caffine does not affect sperm count my dh is also addicted to it and the doc has told him he has "supersperm" he is very proud:)
I didn't read all of the comments, so I apologize if I duplicate. CVS (and probably other pharmacies) have an OTC sperm count kit (not sure exactly what it's called). In Texas the kit is only $35. I know some guys have a problem going in to give a SA. You may want to check that option out. The kits are located in the OPK/PT section.
And yes, the heated seats are probably affecting the boys. Also, boxers are better than briefs.
